Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan are taking part in the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science «IZhO-2025», which is being held in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from 13th to 17th of January.
The Olympiad was organised by the Republican Physics and Mathematics School and the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre «Daryn» with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
About 700 schoolchildren and 150 teacher-supervisors from 15 countries, including Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Georgia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Mongolia, are participating in the Olympiad.
The Olympiad is held at the Astana IT University and the Republican Physics and Mathematics School, which are equipped to host Olympiads of this level.
The five-day competition includes two rounds - theoretical and practical, the tasks of which correspond to the program of specialised classes and were developed by an international jury.
Based on the results of the intellectual competition, the winners and prize winners will receive diplomas of the corresponding degrees, gold, silver, bronze medals and gifts. Participants of the review will be awarded certificates of participation and memorable gifts.
The International Zhautykov Olympiad has been held since 2005 and traditionally promotes the popularization of physical and mathematical sciences among schoolchildren, strengthening international cooperation and the exchange of experience between educational institutions.
