The Turkmen delegation took part in the third and final regional training on integrated energy and climate analysis using a modeling-based approach, organized by the European Union project "Sustainable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia" (SECCA).
The training was held in Almaty and brought together young specialists and national experts from relevant ministries and agencies of Central Asian countries. Participants studied technical methods of quantitative modeling analysis and their connection to the preparation of strategic documents and comprehensive plans in the fields of energy and climate.
As part of its efforts to build the capacity of Central Asian countries in developing national energy sector models, the SECCA project created a Regional Modeling Group, which included two young specialists from each beneficiary country. Three regional training sessions on energy modeling were conducted between September 2024 and January 2025.
The goal of the training sessions was to transfer key concepts, theoretical knowledge, and practical approaches related to the analysis and modeling of complex energy systems at both national and regional levels.
