A personal exhibition of paintings of Nyyazmyrat Dovodov has been opened at the State museum of fine arts in Ashgabat in honour of his 105^th birthday. Nyyazmyrat Dovodov, an honoured artist of Turkmenistan, has left a rich legacy for his compatriots. Suffice it to say that the thematic exhibitions of museum rarely do without his works. Therefore, the anniversary exhibition features many paintings that are well known to art enthusiasts.

17-year-old Turkmen weightlifter Didarbek Jumabayev won a silver medal in the clean and jerk and a bronze medal in the total weightlifting at the world junior championships for athletes under 20 years old held in the Egyptian city of Ismailia. The 12^th-grade student of the «Olimp» secondary sports school achieved this success in the weight category up to 79 kg, where 17 athletes from 14 countries competed for the title of the strongest.

Today, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to sum up the work of military and law enforcement bodies for four months of the current year. A number of issues, concerning security and tranquillity in our independent state and the strengthening of the material and technical basis of security structures and further perfection of their activity were also considered.
