Today, the international congress «Spiritual heritage and enlightenment in Central Asia» opened in Tashkent. It was organised as part of the upcoming consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
Delegations from various agencies and departments of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan are participating in the event. Delegation of our country includes representatives of the union of artists, museum staff, cultural figures, representatives of the ministry of education, media outlets, and public organisations.

At the opening ceremony of the congress, an address by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the event was read and heard.

Minister of culture of Turkmenistan A. Shamyradov spoke at the plenary session on behalf of Turkmenistan. In his address, he noted that the cultural ties between Turkmenistan and the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan have ancient roots and are based on a shared historical heritage and traditions. He also expressed gratitude to the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan for their contribution to strengthening and developing cultural and humanitarian ties.
