As is known, earlier, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, creative contests were announced in the country’s mass media at the beginning of the year. They attracted great interest among citizens engaged in creative work and sincerely proud of their Motherland.
At the beginning of the year, the editorial office of the Lebap velayat newspaper “Türkmen gündogary”, together with the velayat committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the Trade Unions Association of Turkmenistan, announced two such contests: “Türkmenistan – parahatçylygyň we ynanyşmagyň Watany” (“Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Peace and Trust”) and “Ýaşasyn parahat durmuş!” (“Long Live the Peaceful Life!”).
Recently, the results of these contests were summed up at the Lebap Velayat Library. In the contest “Türkmenistan – parahatçylygyň we ynanyşmagyň Watany” (poetry category), first place was awarded to Ovez Gurbaniyazov, a resident of the Darganata etrap, and the prize-winners were announced as Esen Charyyev, a teacher at Secondary School No. 18 of the Halach etrap, and Begench Bayramov, a student of the S. A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

In the same contest (article category), first place went to Aygozel Garlyyeva, a lecturer at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, while Agamyrat Akyev, a lecturer at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, and Gulyalek Batyrova, a methodologist at the Velayat Museum of History and Local Lore, won second and third places respectively.
In the contest (stories), first, second, and third places were awarded respectively to Nurguly Yagmyrov, a teacher at Secondary School No. 14 of the Darganata etrap, Govher Baltayeva, director of Secondary School No. 28 of the Sayat etrap, Enejan Hudayberdiyeva, a teacher at Secondary School No. 17 of the Farap etrap.
It should be noted that in the contest “Ýaşasyn parahat durmuş!”, held directly on the theme of neutrality, first place was awarded to Charyyar Pirimkulov, a resident of the Hojambaz etrap; second place to Suleyman Bayramgeldiyev, a student of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute; and third place to Akjemal Shirova, director of the Sayat Etrap Central Library.
In the essay category, first place was taken by Oral Temirov, a librarian at the Koytendag Etrap Library, while second and third places went respectively to Gulnara Jorayeva, a teacher at Secondary School No. 26 of the Dyanev etrap, and Gurban Charyyev, a lecturer at the Velayat Special School of Arts.
All winners received Certificates of Honor and valuable gifts in a festive setting.
