The footballers of «Ahal» won silver medals in the Turkmenistan championship. The team of the Main directorate of «Turkmennebitonumleri» secured second place one round before the end of the national championship, winning the match of the 27^th round against «Merv» - 2:0.

The match took place in Mary at the «Merv» stadium.

The team of Velsahet Ovezov achieved success, scoring a goal in each half. Nazar Tovakalov opened the scoring in the 33^rd minute. Elman Tagayev set the final result, scoring against the home team in the 80^th minute of the match. This is already the tenth goal of the «Ahal» captain in the current national championship. With this indicator, he ranks fourth in the scoring charts.

Let us remind, the top scorer in the two previous Turkmenistan championships, Didar Durdyyev of «Arkadag», leads the scoring charts with 26 goals, 9 and 10 goals ahead of his teammates Begench Akmammedov and Altymyrat Annadurdyyev, respectively.

Having scored 55 points after this victory, «Ahal» became unattainable for its pursuers and won silver medals in the national championship for the eighth time.

«Altyn Asyr» won bronze medals for the third time, having achieved a comeback victory over «Shagadam» in the city of Turkmenbashy – 2:1. The hosts took the lead in the 23^rd minute after a precise strike by Musa Nurnazarov. However, the team of Yazguly Hojageldiyev was able to turn the tide of the match thanks to goals from Myrat Annayev (43^rd minute) and Selim Nurmyradov (49^th). It should be noted that the hosts finished the game with nine men after Selim Atayev was sent off in the 82^nd minute for two yellow cards and Shazada Bashimov was sent off in the 95^th minute for a straight red card.

In another match of the 27^th round, «Arkadag», who had already won their third national championship title, defeated Ashgabat 1-0 in an away match at «Nisa» Stadium. Ahmet Atayev scored the winning goal in the 31^st minute.

In another match of this round, «Nebitchi» defeated «Kopetdag» of capital 2-1 in Balkanabat. The goals of winners were scored by Hydyr Yakubov (10^th minute) and Bayramgeldi Nurlyyev (60^th). Arslan Saparov (34^th) scored the only goal for the losers.

Despite the defeat, «Kopetdag» remained in seventh place with 14 points, two points ahead of the team at the bottom of the standings, «Merv», with one round left in the championship.
