Speaking at the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue Summit in Tokyo, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined the priority vectors for the development of interregional cooperation. The head of state emphasized that the current potential of the parties requires a transition to the implementation of large-scale, strategically significant projects.
The head of state noted that the countries of Central Asia possess enormous resources for interaction with Japan. The main task for the near future was identified as leveraging the strengths of each participant in the Dialogue to achieve common goals.
One of the most promising areas of cooperation was identified as environmentally friendly energy. Turkmenistan expressed strong interest in Japanese initiatives in the field of sustainable development.
“One such area is the ‘green transformation.’ Turkmenistan pays close attention to Japanese initiatives in the sphere of green energy and sustainable development. For our country, which is one of the world’s largest holders of energy resources, cooperation in this area is of fundamental importance,” stated the President of Turkmenistan.
The Central Asia + Japan Dialogue is an important platform for strengthening trade and economic ties and ensuring regional security. Turkmenistan’s participation in the summit once again confirmed the country’s commitment to a course of innovative development and international environmental responsibility.
