The celebration dedicated to the International Novruz day was conducted in Beijing. The event was organized together with the embassies of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan and Azerbaijan. The representatives of government establishment and the public of China, the Chief Secretary of Shanghai cooperation organization, the heads and employees of diplomatic missions of CIS with their families, representatives of Chinese mass media and students from Central Asia, Azerbaijan countries studying in Beijing universities took part in the event.

The heads of mission – organizers of the event mentioned, that Novruz takes special place in the life of peoples of Central Asia and Azerbaijan being personification of good changes, piece, good neighborly relations, mutual understanding and prosperity.

The guests of the event emphasized the consolidating role of Novruz in the present day world and the joint event became the symbol of partnership and mutual understanding of the peoples connected through historic-cultural relationship.

The concert with participation of the art masters and student’s staff of Central Asia and Azerbaijan was held afterwards. The Turkmen songs performed by the student of the third course of the Chinese oil university Perhat Kurbanov were welcomed by friendly applauses.

The dishes of the Central Asia and Azerbaijan peoples traditionally containing the festive menu of Novruz decorated lavish dastarhan to which were invited many participators and guest of the event.
