Modernising the Protocol service of the country was one of the topics discussed at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov using the digital system. Deputy-prime and minister of foreign affairs R. Meredov delivered a corresponding report.

As noted, the expansion of Turkmenistan of international cooperation, high-level visits, and the holding of major forums both domestically and internationally require impeccable organisational support. In this regard, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the head of the MFA presented proposals for improving protocol activities based on national legislation and international experience.

R. Meredov informed that development will be based on a set of directions. Among them is the organisation of specialised advanced training courses for young diplomats at the «Diplomatic protocol» training centre at the IIR of the MFA, sending Turkmen specialists on internships abroad to exchange experience, and inviting leading foreign experts to Ashgabat to conduct training seminars.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the initiatives presented and instructed the deputy-prime and minister of foreign affairs to ensure the high-quality implementation of the planned professional training programs.
