The cultural calendar at the turn of January and February offers residents and visitors of Ashgabat a rich program—from masterpieces of world cinema to an immersion in modern animated classics.

On January 30 at 19:00, the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater will host a performance by the String Orchestra conducted by Tahir Atayev. The evening’s program will bring together popular soundtracks from Hollywood blockbusters and iconic melodies from Turkmen cinema that have become part of the nation’s cultural heritage.

On February 1, the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Resul Gylyjov will present a new program titled “Anime Symphony”. Audiences will be transported into the magical universes of Hayao Miyazaki, where music seamlessly merges with visual art. The concerts will take place at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan in two sessions: at 16:00 and 18:00.
