The Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages is accepting applications for participation in language Olympiads organized by the university for senior students of secondary general education schools of Turkmenistan.
All interested school students—pupils of grades 11–12 from schools in Ashgabat, Arkadag, and the country’s velayats—are eligible to take part in the Olympiads. From March to May, the Institute will consecutively hold five Olympiads in the Turkmen, English, French, Russian, and German languages.
In particular, the II Turkmen Language Olympiad will take place on March 14; the IV English Language Olympiad on March 28; the III French Language Olympiad on April 4; the IV Russian Language Olympiad on May 2; and the III German Language Olympiad on May 16.
Each of the five Olympiads will be conducted in two rounds. In the first round, participants will compete in essay writing, while the second round will be held in the form of testing. The first rounds will be conducted remotely, and the second rounds will take place in person at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.
The winners of the Olympiads will be determined based on the total number of points earned in both rounds and will be awarded diplomas and gifts from the Institute. Certificates of honor will be presented to the teachers who supervised the students who won prize places in the competitions.
The organizing committee of each Olympiad includes lecturers and professors from the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages as well as from higher education institutions of foreign countries that are partner institutions of the D. Azadi TNIWL.

The series of language Olympiads is held annually by the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages with the aim of strengthening and expanding cooperation with secondary general education schools in improving foreign language teaching, stimulating students’ interest in language learning, and contributing to the enhancement of the professional competencies of language teachers.
