The scientific-educational sector of Turkmenistan is expanding its digital presence. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the initiative to create an electronic popular-science journal, «Scientific research and innovation».
The new publication will be based at the leading university of country − the Turkmen state university named after Magtymguly.
The journal is conceived as a modern platform for the exchange of experience and popularisation of the achievements of Turkmen science. Articles will be published in Turkmen, English, and Russian, ensuring access to materials for an international audience.
The online information platform will be open to both experienced professors and teachers, as well as students taking their first steps in science. The publication will cover a wide range of areas – from philology, psychology, and jurisprudence to the study of national heritage and the contribution of great personalities to world culture.
One of the main objectives of journal will be to highlight the practical results of interaction between education and the real sector of the economy. The publications will focus on the implementation of innovative developments and modern teaching methods.
During her report, deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyyeva noted that the establishment of the journal is intended to encourage young people to make new scientific discoveries and developments.
The head of state approved the proposal and ordered that work on the publication begin.
