President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system. The main topic of the meeting was summing up the socio-economic development of the country for the first month of 2026.
The head of state emphasised that the results of January clearly confirm the effectiveness of the chosen development course. The head of state placed primary emphasis on the stable GDP growth rate of 6.3%, the continuation of large-scale construction of new enterprises and the modernisation of existing facilities, stable dynamics in the oil and gas sector, trade, transport and communications, as well as the successful implementation of reforms in the fields of science, education, healthcare and sports.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that the results of the work performed clearly demonstrate the targeted development of an independent, neutral Fatherland. Thus, the country maintains a high rate of construction, focusing not only on industrial facilities but also on socially significant infrastructure – residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, as well as modern medical and cultural and entertainment centres.
In conclusion of his speech, the President of Turkmenistan announced that an extended meeting of the Government would be held next week. Within its framework, the final results of 2025 will be summed up, the progress of the adopted programs will be analysed, and priority tasks will be identified.
