The first match of the clubs of Turkmenistan took place at the Ashgabat stadium in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup tournament. "Ahal" met with the capital team "Altyn Asyr".

The match between compatriots - rivals, who fought for the title of champion of Turkmenistan all last season, passed in a very tough fight.
