On 18 March 2026, Ashgabat will host the International Forum for Attracting Investment in the Private Sector, “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” (IFT 2026), a significant business event aimed at developing entrepreneurship, attracting investment and expanding international cooperation.
The forum will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and is organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan together with the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in partnership with TMT Consulting Group. Registration of participants is currently ongoing, providing entrepreneurs and investors with the opportunity to confirm participation in advance, present projects and arrange business negotiations.
The development of the private sector, support for entrepreneurial initiatives and the attraction of investment are consistently implemented in Turkmenistan within the framework of the state economic policy initiated by The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and successfully continued under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. In this context, the organisation of IFT 2026 corresponds to the strategic objectives of sustainable socio-economic development.
IFT 2026 is aimed at supporting the private sector, including small and medium-sized enterprises, which play an important role in economic diversification and strengthening the investment climate. The forum’s business programme will cover a wide range of topical issues, including industrial production, processing industries, agriculture, livestock breeding, farming, development of transport and logistics infrastructure, implementation of digital technologies and mechanisms for attracting foreign direct investment.
The results of IFT 2025 confirmed the effectiveness of the format: more than 500 business representatives and investors from 25 countries participated, hundreds of companies were involved, 21 memoranda of cooperation were signed and 187 business meetings were held in B2B and B2G formats.
