On February 24, 2026, in Abu Dhabi, an official ceremony was held for the presentation of credentials by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates Bayram Bayramov, to the Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Francesco La Camera, as the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to this international organization. During the official audience following the ceremony, the Permanent Representative conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan to the head of the Agency.
Expressing gratitude for the warm words, the Director-General of IRENA congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to this responsible post and expressed the Organization’s readiness to further deepen multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties conducted a thorough exchange of views on the current state and priority areas of the strategic partnership.
