Among the key topics of the latest meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov via the digital system, were preparations for the celebration of International Women’s Day and the implementation of social support measures for large families.

The head of state signed a Decree conferring the title “Ene mähri” on mothers who have given birth to and raised eight or more children. In honor of the March 8 holiday, solemn ceremonies will be held in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, during which distinguished mothers will be presented with the keys to new apartments. The Chairperson of the Mejlis, D. Gulmanova, reported on the readiness to conduct the festive events at a high organizational level.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov particularly emphasized that dear mothers play a significant role in preserving the sacred family hearth and raising sons and daughters in a dignified manner.

“Their work contributes to enhancing the authority of the sovereign Motherland. In this regard, in our independent state, dear mothers are treated with great respect and honor,” said the head of state.

In Turkmenistan, support for motherhood and childhood is a priority of state policy. The annual honoring of mothers with many children and the improvement of their housing conditions is a good tradition that underscores society’s deep respect for the role of women.
