Turkmenistan to develop a National Strategy for Scientific and Medical Diplomacy through 2052

During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined new horizons for the development of the national healthcare system and international cooperation in this field.

In this context, the head of state instructed Deputy Prime Minister B. Mammedov to carry out the necessary work to prepare a National Strategy for the Development of Scientific and Medical Diplomacy for the period 2026–2052.

This large-scale document is intended to consolidate Turkmenistan’s achievements in such areas as the construction of scientific and clinical centers and sanatoriums in accordance with World Health Organization standards, the advancement of medical science, and the expansion of the network of pharmaceutical enterprises. It is also aimed at strengthening ties with international organizations and introducing advanced global best practices.

The ongoing efforts to improve the national healthcare system, successfully implemented thanks to the fundamental initiatives of Hero-Arkadag, today enable Turkmenistan not only to enhance the health of the nation but also to act as an active participant in global “medical diplomacy,” thereby increasing the authority of the Motherland on the international stage.
