Admirers of the poetry of Gurbannazar Ezizov gathered to celebrate his birthday at the Small Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva. Bayram Gochmyradov — an employee of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and a former lecturer at the Faculty of Philology of Magtymguly Turkmen State University — was invited to meet with the students.

For the occasion, the students prepared a small concert featuring fifth-year vocal student Sakhy Allayarov and first-year pianist Jemshit Akyev. Songs set to the poems of Gurbannazar Ezizov and music by Danatar Hydyrov were performed, including “Uzak ýaýladaky enäniň hüwdüsi” and “Özgelere dunledem.” Incidentally, one of the participants in the meeting was the composer Danatar Hydyrov, who is a great admirer of the Turkmen poet’s work.

Bayram Gochmyradov prepared an engaging talk for the audience about the life and creative work of the beloved poet. During his speech, he recited some of his favorite poems — “Serpai,” “Mother,” “Daughters,” and “Motherland.” B. Gochmyradov connected the creation of these poems with events from the poet’s life.

Following the guest’s presentation, a friendly discussion ensued: students asked questions of interest to them and received comprehensive answers.
The meeting brought great pleasure to all its participants.
