Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims to discuss progress in the country’s agro-industrial complex and the regions.

The meeting was opened by Ahal Velayat Hyakim T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the carried out seasonal agricultural activities in the region.

As reported, wheat fields are being maintained in accordance with agricultural practices, including mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation.

To ensure the smooth start and proper completion of cotton sowing, necessary measures are being taken to prepare the land and high-quality seeds for the season.

Meanwhile, spring potato and vegetable and melon crops are being planted in the velayat’s agricultural lands according to the appropriate agronomic schedule.

Furthermore, the hyakim reported on preparations for cultural events planned in the region to mark International Women’s Day, as well as on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the organized implementation of ongoing seasonal agronomic activities in the velayat’s agricultural lands is one of the key conditions for obtaining abundant agricultural harvests, and gave the hyakim specific instructions in this regard.

The head of state also ordered that the high-quality and timely completion of work planned in the velayat for this year, in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs, be monitored.

Then, the hyakim of the Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the ongoing agricultural campaigns in the velayat.

As reported, in accordance with the established goals of growing a bountiful wheat harvest and fully providing the population with the corresponding product, mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being applied to wheat fields.

Additionally, as part of the upcoming cotton sowing season, land leveling and harrowing are being carried out in agricultural areas. Steps are also being taken to prepare high-quality cotton seeds and agricultural machinery for cotton producers for the season.

The velayat is also taking the necessary measures to complete the sowing of spring potatoes, vegetables, and melons on schedule.

Furthermore, the hyakim reported on preparations for the celebratory events marking International Women’s Day, as well as on the implementation of work planned in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted that strict adherence to scientifically based agricultural requirements promotes the production of high-quality produce, and in this regard, instructed the hyakim to ensure the proper implementation of the current seasonal agricultural campaigns in the velayat.

The President of Turkmenistan also ordered that the proper and timely implementation of work planned for this year as part of the implementation of state programs be monitored.

Then, the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat, D. Babayev, reported on the state of agriculture in the region.

As reported, in accordance with the objectives set by the President of Turkmenistan to increase agricultural production in the country and strengthen food abundance, seasonal work continues on the velayat’s agricultural lands.

In fields sown with wheat, mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being applied in compliance with agricultural practices.

In preparation for cotton sowing, the land is being leveled, harrowed, and irrigated. Necessary measures are also being taken to prepare high-quality seeds suitable for the velayat’s soil and climate conditions, as well as agricultural machinery for cotton producers, for the sowing season.

Furthermore, the region has begun sowing onions and cabbage.

A report was also given on the progress of preparations in the velayat for International Women’s Day celebrations and the pace of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of ongoing seasonal agricultural work and, in this regard, instructed the hyakim to ensure continuous oversight of wheat care and preparations for the spring planting season.

The head of state also ordered that the high-quality and timely completion of work planned in the velayat for this year, in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs, be closely monitored.

Then, the hyakim of Lebap velayat, D. Genjiev, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, in order to achieve a bountiful wheat harvest this year, irrigation and mineral fertilization are being carried out in the region’s fields.

As part of the upcoming cotton sowing season, work is underway to fertilize the land with mineral fertilizers, level it, chill it, and perform leaching irrigation, as well as select high-quality seeds for agricultural producers.

Meanwhile, the spring potato and onion planting campaign has entered its final stage in the region’s agricultural fields. The sown areas are being irrigated to ensure germination.

The hyakim also reported on preparations for the upcoming celebrations of International Women’s Day and on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion this year.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to ensure coordinated work across all agencies involved in seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region’s fields and gave the hyakim specific instructions in this regard.

The head of state also instructed the hyakim to oversee the high-quality and timely completion of work on facilities scheduled for opening in the region this year, in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Mary Velayat Hyakim D. Annaberdiev then reported on seasonal agricultural activities in the region.

As reported, irrigation for germination and mineral fertilization are currently ongoing in wheat fields.

In preparation for cotton planting, the fields are being leveled and harrowed and high-quality seed is being prepared for agricultural producers.

Additionally, measures are being taken to plant spring potatoes, vegetables, and melons in the region according to established agricultural schedules.

Furthermore, the hyakim reported on the progress of festive events planned in the velayat for International Women’s Day, widely celebrated in the country, as well as the pace of construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year in accordance with Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development programs.

Summarizing the report, the President noted that strict adherence to agricultural requirements at all stages of agricultural production is essential, and he gave the hyakim specific instructions in this regard.

The head of state also noted the importance of timely and high-quality completion of tasks within the framework of the country’s socio-economic development programs, instructing the hyakim to monitor these issues.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal work in the country’s agricultural sector.

As reported, mineral fertilizer application and irrigation of wheat fields are currently underway in the regions in accordance with agricultural practices.

Furthermore, measures are being taken to prepare high-quality seed for agricultural producers in order to ensure the organized implementation of the crucial cotton sowing campaign.

As part of efforts to provide the population with domestic agricultural products, preparation of fields and seeds for spring crops continues, as well as the organized planting of potatoes and vegetables.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov placed particular emphasis on the strategic role of the agro-industrial sector in the national economy, noting that strict adherence to scientifically based agricultural practices during seasonal agricultural campaigns promotes high yields, efficient use of land and water resources, and the prevention of soil salinization, and addressed a number of specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state again emphasized the importance of ongoing agricultural work. In this regard, he instructed the country’s regions to properly carry out leveling, chilling, and harrowing in areas allocated for cotton sowing, as well as flushing irrigation in accordance with agricultural standards in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats. He also instructed them to take measures to ensure a timely and complete supply of high-quality seeds to cotton producers, prepare agricultural machinery and equipment for spring sowing, and continue to care for wheat crops, applying necessary mineral fertilizers in compliance with agricultural requirements, while paying particular attention to irrigation.

The President also emphasized the importance of strict oversight of the implementation of agricultural activities during the spring planting of potatoes, vegetables, and melons, in accordance with the agronomic deadlines and at a high quality level, the preparation of seeds and planting areas for these crops in Dashoguz velayat, and the timely settlement of payments between agricultural producers and service organizations.

Furthermore, the head of state noted the importance of organizing the planned International Women’s Day celebrations in the regions at a high level, as well as taking the necessary measures to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of work planned for the current year in the velayats under the Socio-Economic Development Program and the National Rural Program, and gave corresponding instructions.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
