This year, held under the motto “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” is marked by the upcoming 35th anniversary of our sacred Independence. It illuminates our hearts with light and leaves an indelible mark on our memory. Each of its days is filled with the atmosphere of a grand celebration and bright events.

These days, celebrations dedicated to International Women’s Day are being widely and ceremoniously held in the Balkan velayat. One such celebration took place in the building of “Türkmeniň ak öýi” in Balkanabat. The musical and song festival was organized by the khyakimlik of the Balkan velayat jointly with the Velayat Department of Culture, the velayat branch of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan, and other public organizations.

Women and girls, esteemed mothers, representatives of public associations, leading production workers, and student youth from all parts of the region took part in the celebration. The event highlighted the significant milestones and achievements accomplished during the anniversary year.

Songs and music performed by cultural figures, theater masters, and students filled the three-thousand-seat hall of “Türkmeniň ak öýi” with delight. The performances glorified the flourishing land, blooming spring, the beauty of women and mothers who adorn the celebration, as well as friendship and peace. The literary and musical compositions presented by the region’s creative groups were met with prolonged and enthusiastic applause.
