A festive concert dedicated to International Women's Day was held with great success at the “Watan” Cinema and Concert Hall. This was the second public appearance of the new orchestral ensemble “Melody” Orchestra, and the fact that there were no empty seats in the hall testified that the orchestra has many supporters who came to encourage the musicians in their creative beginnings.

The concert program opened with a classical example of profound love — the story of Shasenem and Garyp, whose devotion has endured through the centuries. The aria of Garyp from the opera “Shasenem and Garyp” by Danatar Ovezov and Adrian Shaposhnikov was performed with inspiration by Emir Bayramgeldiyev.

The young vocalist Mustafa Yagshyev performed the song “Mommy Dear” by Valery Kanishchev, accompanied by the children’s choir “Raduga”. After the touching performance, the boy approached one of the orchestra’s violinists, and it became clear to the audience to whom he had dedicated his performance.

The audience was pleasantly surprised by the instrumental piece “A Walk in the Rain”. Composer Ayna Shirova gave the falling raindrops a Turkmen musical intonation.

The leader of the Melody Orchestra, Annaoraz Dovletov, performed a solo cello piece. He played a fragment from the film “Twilight”. After the successful performance, accompanied by the audience’s applause, Annaoraz presented flowers to the women seated in the front row and a basket of flowers to his mother.

The following numbers in the program were thematically divided into songs about love for one’s mother and love for a beloved woman. Both themes were expressed with emotion and tenderness by Dovran Shamyev, Bahar Durdyyeva, Emir Bayramgeldiyev, Ogulgerek Sultanmuradova, Mustafa Yagshyev, and Shirin Jumayeva. They performed such songs as “Extraordinary Eyes” by Andrey Babayev, “I Will Always Be with You” by Leonid Agutin, “Beautiful” by Valery Meladze, “If Love Lives in the Heart” by Yulia Savicheva, “Mother’s Eyes” by Yevgeny Martynov, and others.

Concluding the concert, Annaoraz Dovletov introduced the musicians of the Melody Orchestra to the audience, while the host Ekaterina Darchiya, addressing the audience, wished that the evening would leave warmth in the heart of every listener.
