In the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses», marked by the 35th anniversary of independence of the country, farmers of the Balkan velayat prepare fields for spring sowing based on the requirements of agricultural technology. In general, it is planned to sow cotton on an area of 13 thousand hectares in the coming season in the velayat and harvest 16 thousand tons of the crop this year.
To solve this problem, the farmers of the region are steadily increasing the pace of work. In their activities, they follow the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan on preparing for cotton sowing, given during workshops on the digital system with the participation of heads of the agro-industrial complex and hakims of the velayats. These days, in preparation for the crucial season, machine operators and engineering staff of the «Balkanobahyzmat» production association are particularly active.
In particular, the «Obahyzmat» production enterprises of the Gyzylarbat and Bereket etraps of the Association are carrying out targeted work to prepare powerful machinery for cotton sowing. It should be noted that in the Gyzylarbat, Bereket, Etrek, Esenguly etraps and in the Magtymguly etrap of the velayat, plowing, leveling of lands, harrowing and combing in the areas allocated for spring sowing of this crop were successfully completed at an early date. The irrigation systems of the velayat farmlands were also cleaned in a timely manner and prepared for the next season. In addition, high-yielding cotton seeds were selected, corresponding to the soil and climatic conditions of the western region of the country.
The high labour enthusiasm and selfless work of the farmers of the Balkan velayat inspire confidence that the sowing campaign will be held on time and at a high level.
According to experts, by now 35 seeders and 117 cultivators for row-by-row processing have been completely repaired and brought to the ready line. All the powerful equipment of various brands available in the field has been thoroughly inspected by experienced specialists.
The «Balkanobahyzmat» production association and its etrap enterprises have also taken preventive measures to strictly comply with fire safety regulations. In addition, during the responsible campaign, specially created maintenance teams will work, which include repairmen, mechanics and specialised specialists. Their task − to promptly eliminate any malfunctions that may occur during the season. This will ensure that cotton is sown within the established agrotechnical deadlines and at a high quality level.
