A new project for learning the Russian language has been launched in Turkmenistan for first-grade students of secondary schools with the Turkmen language of instruction.

The project is being implemented jointly by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

Currently, the educational platform is available to users on the news portal “Turkmenistan,” where a free introductory online course consisting of 70 short video lessons for first-grade students has been published.

The lessons are conducted in a playful format, and the duration of each video does not exceed 10–15 minutes, allowing children to easily absorb new knowledge. The simple and child-friendly course focuses on developing vocabulary, as well as speech and communication skills. The interactive classes are conducted by an experienced teacher and TV presenter, A. S. Morozova.

The educational course was prepared by specialists from the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University, taking into account the national educational program of Turkmenistan. The materials were reviewed by the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and the Moscow Pedagogical State University. The video lessons were filmed at the studio of the Mendeleev Pedagogical Technopark “Quantorium”.

The exclusive educational course can be accessed via the following link.

As part of this educational initiative, work is currently underway to develop similar Russian language courses for other age groups of students in Turkmen schools.
