The final stage of the State Foreign Languages Competition among students of educational institutions of various forms of ownership offering short-term courses was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International of Oil and Gas University.
The competition in English and Russian, announced by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, was conducted in three stages across four age categories. To ensure openness and transparency, organizational committees, juries, and observer groups operated at local levels in cities and regions of the country. All stages of the event were coordinated by the Central Organizing Committee.
More than 220 of the best participants—talented young students from training centers across the country—earned the right to compete in the final held in Ashgabat. The final stage also brought together foreign language teachers, specialists, and representatives of both public and private training centers in Turkmenistan, who gathered to support their students.
According to the jury’s decision, 48 participants were declared winners. In each age category, the best performers in English and Russian were awarded one first place, two second places, and three third places.
During the official award ceremony, the winners received diplomas from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan along with valuable prizes.

It provides an opportunity to assess students’ language proficiency, helps identify and support the most talented youth, fosters independent learning and creativity, and enhances both the quality of foreign language teaching and interest in language learning among young people.
