A large-scale exhibition dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan continues its work in Ashgabat. One of the key highlights of the business program will be the International Forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” (IFT 2026), which will bring together not only representatives of domestic businesses but also major international players.
Among them is one of the leaders of transport engineering in the Republic of Belarus — Mogilev Carriage Works. With more than 20 years of history, the enterprise considers Turkmenistan one of the priority areas for expanding its cooperation geography.
Andrei Kharkevich, head of the Marketing and Sales Department of MCW, emphasized in an interview with the correspondent of “GA” that the company, firmly established in the markets of Russia and Kazakhstan, sees great potential in Turkmenistan for developing productive partnerships.
“Our goal is to study the needs of the Turkmenistan market and offer exactly those solutions that are required by local logistics companies. We plan to hold a series of meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan and other relevant agencies,” noted the company representative.
The Mogilev plant specializes in the production of a wide range of freight rolling stock. Its annual output exceeds 2,500 railcars, including grain hoppers, cement wagons, and cars for transporting mineral fertilizers. As a versatile transport solution, the company can also offer gondola cars and flatcars for transporting timber and other bulky construction materials. This year, the plant plans to launch the production of covered wagons.
The company’s success in the international arena is driven by the work of its own design department. The plant’s specialists are continuously modernizing existing models, adapting them to modern requirements for safety and load capacity.
In conclusion, the guest expressed hope that the exhibition and the IFT 2026 forum in Ashgabat would become an important step for Belarusian machine builders in entering a new market, enabling a transition from preliminary market research to concrete contracts and long-term partnership.
