Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayats’ hyakims to consider progress in the agro-industrial complex and in the country’s regions.
The first speaker was T. Nurmyradov, the hyakim of Ahal velayat, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As reported, mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation are currently being applied to wheat fields in the region.
To ensure an organized start to cotton sowing, land leveling and harrowing are underway. Preparations for seed and agricultural machinery to support cotton growers are nearing completion.
At the same time, fields planted with spring potatoes, vegetables, and melons are being tended and watered in accordance with agricultural standards.
As part of the ongoing efforts to transform the country into a flourishing region, necessary measures are being taken to ensure a high-quality spring greening campaign, including a nationwide tree-planting campaign.
Furthermore, the hyakim reported on the region’s preparations for the National Spring Festival celebrations.
Summarizing the report, the head of state noted the need for strict adherence to agricultural standards during agricultural work, which promotes abundant crop yields and improved product quality. In this regard, the hyakim was assigned to monitor these issues.
Then, the hyakim of Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the progress of seasonal work in the region’s fields.
As reported, this year, to ensure a bountiful wheat harvest, agricultural measures are being carried out in the velayat in accordance with agricultural practices, including mineral fertilizer application and vegetation irrigation.
At the same time, work continues to organize cotton sowing and ensure this important campaign is carried out at a high level.
Seasonal activities in the velayat’s fields sown with potatoes, vegetables, and melons are being carried out in compliance with agricultural requirements.
To ensure the proper implementation of the spring landscaping campaign, steps are currently being taken to prepare sites for tree planting. The hyakim also reported on preparations for cultural events to be held in the velayat to mark the National Spring Festival.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of ongoing agricultural work, instructing the hyakim to ensure its high-quality and timely completion. Then, Dashoguz Velayat Hyakim D. Babayev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the velayat.
As reported, in accordance with the objectives of further strengthening the country’s food security, maintenance work is currently underway in the region’s wheat fields, adhering to agricultural standards.
In agricultural areas allocated for the upcoming cotton sowing, soil leveling, harrowing, and irrigation are underway.
At the same time, potato, vegetable, and melon planting continues.
Guided by the directive of the President of Turkmenistan to transform the country into a flourishing region, the region is preparing for the spring greening campaign and a nationwide tree planting campaign.

Along with this, necessary measures are being taken to organize the cotton sowing campaign and conduct it within the established agronomic timeframes.
Potato, vegetable and melon fields are being tended in compliance with agricultural standards. In order to properly organize the spring greening campaign and the nationwide tree planting campaign in the velayat, appropriate areas were identified for this purpose and a sufficient number of seedlings were prepared.
The hyakim also reported on the program of cultural events planned in the velayat to celebrate the National Spring Festival.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted the need to ensure coordinated work among all agencies involved in the current seasonal agricultural campaigns and addressed the hyakim with relevant instructions.
Next, the hyakim of Mary velayat, D. Annaberdiev, reported on the state of affairs in the region’s fields.
As reported, in order to fulfill the head of state’s instructions to grow a bountiful wheat harvest in the country, mineral fertilizers and irrigation are currently being applied to the velayat’s fields sown with this crop.
In preparation for cotton sowing, land leveling and harrowing are underway, as well as seed preparation for cotton producers.
In accordance with agricultural practices, potato, vegetable, and melon fields are being tended.

The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on preparations for the spring greening campaign and the organization of a nationwide tree-planting campaign to protect the environment and ensure ecological well-being in the country.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to adhere to agricultural standards during agricultural work, which not only ensures food abundance in the country but also promotes the sustainable development of the industry, and gave the Deputy Prime Minister a number of instructions.
Then, addressing the meeting participants, the head of state reiterated the importance of seasonal agricultural work and instructed that the leveling and harrowing of fields allocated for cotton sowing, as well as the irrigation of agricultural land in Dashoguz velayat, be carried out in accordance with agricultural standards. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered that all measures be taken to ensure a timely and complete supply of high-quality seeds to cotton producers, that agricultural machinery and equipment be prepared for sowing, that fields are maintained and fertilized with minerals in the regions in compliance with agronomic deadlines, and that special attention be paid to vegetative irrigation.
The head of Turkmenistan also assigned to insure high-quality care for vegetable, melon, and potato crops, complete planting of these crops in Dashoguz velayat within agronomic deadlines, implement strict control over timely payments between wheat and cotton producers and service organizations and enterprises for work performed, and properly prepare for the spring greening campaign and the nationwide tree planting campaign and conduct them at a high level.
The President of the country also emphasized the upcoming National Spring Festival – Novruz Bayramy and instructed that the events that will take place in the velayats on this occasion be properly prepared.
At the conclusion of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants good health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
