The International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev is recruiting participants for the IV International open internet Olympiad in informatics among university students, which will take place from 15th to 16th of April.
Registration of participants will last until the 10th of April. To submit an application, please send student information to the organising committee by email at hngu.olimp@gmail.com. The number of participants from each university is not limited.
In addition, all interested students studying in various fields and specialties at higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad can participate in the Olympiad.
The Olympiad will be held in Turkmen, Russian, and English online via the Moodle platform. The Olympiad will be held in the form of an individual competition. Participants will be offered a total of 10 tasks covering areas such as algorithmic programming, data analysis, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. You have 120 minutes to complete the tasks.
The results of the individual competition will be determined by the number of points scored. Based on these results, the team championship results will also be summarised based on the overall scores of the participating universities. The winners and prize winners of the Olympiad will be awarded diplomas of the I, II and III degrees.

The Olympiad has been successfully held by the university for the fourth year in a row and serves as an effective platform for identifying talented and capable young people, creating favourable conditions for their further intellectual development and career choice, and training young specialists capable of analysing scientific and practical problems arising in modern computer science and related fields.
At the same time, the Olympiad promotes mutually beneficial exchanges of experience and new ideas in science and education, as well as the development of cooperation and strengthening of friendly ties between students from universities in Turkmenistan and abroad.
