Issues related to the development of the agro-industrial complex became one of the central topics of the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held under the chairmanship of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, Deputy-prime T. Atahallyyev reported on full readiness for spring field work. High quality seeds, as well as a fleet of agricultural machinery and equipment that will be used in the sowing campaign, have been prepared in a timely manner for cotton growers of the country.
The President of Turkmenistan blessed the start of cotton sowing in all regions of the country on the 25th of March. In keeping with established tradition, the head of state addressed the honorary elders with a request to initiate this important campaign. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that the upcoming campaign is an important task for the agricultural sector and wished the courageous farmers and all rural workers great success in achieving high yields.
In addition to preparations for the cotton harvest, instructions were also given on strict observance of agrotechnical standards in the care of wheat crops.
