At the end of April (on the 25th and 26th), the “Watan” Cinema and Concert Hall will host a performance by the “Melody” Orchestra under the direction of cellist Annaoraz Dovletov. The musicians will present a new program titled “Hits of the 1990s and 2000s,” in which popular musical compositions from the turn of the century will receive a fresh interpretation.

The idea behind the concert is to bring together music lovers of different generations. For audience members whose youth fell at the turn of the century, it will be a warm return to the atmosphere of the first cassette players and discos, while for representatives of the younger generation, the concert will offer a chance to hear legendary hits in live orchestral performance.

One of the evening’s highlights will be a new interpretation of hits by the band “Gunesh.” This legendary group will once again remind audiences of its legacy through a modern sound. It is a tribute to the ensemble whose rhythms still live on in the hearts of listeners.

The concert will feature some of the capital’s finest soloists: Dovran Shamyev, Bahar Durdyeva, Emir Bayramgeldiyev, and Mustafa Yagshyev. As noted by the project’s coordinator, orchestra violinist Selbi Yagshyeva, the intimate atmosphere of the “Watan” hall will allow every audience member to feel like part of this musical evening.
