During a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard a report on the performance of fuel and energy complex (FEC) for January-March of this year. The industry demonstrates a significant excess of planned indicators in all key areas.

Deputy-prime G. Agajanov presented data according to which oil production by the State concern «Türkmennebit» amounted to 106.9% of the planned volume. Particularly high growth rates were recorded in the field of processing and production of finished products: liquefied natural gas – 126.7% (the leader in growth rates); gasoline – 119%; diesel fuel – 111.8%; oil refining (as a whole) – 108.7%; natural and associated gas production – 107.5%.

The indicators for the production of polypropylene and lubricating oils have also been fully implemented, exceeding the 100% mark.

In addition to the indicators, the report of Deputy-prime focused on expanding the geography of export routes, which is a priority for the energy diplomacy of country.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the need to maximise the efficient use of FEC capacities. Special emphasis was placed on increasing export volumes and continuing active drilling of exploration wells to strengthen the resource base of the country.
