Farmers in the Dashoguz velayat annually make a significant contribution to supplying the market with high-quality agricultural products

Vegetable growers in the Boldumsaz etrap of the Dashoguz velayat have successfully completed the spring planting of onions, carrots, and cabbage. More than others, these crops are located in the dayhan associations «G.Atamedov» and «Zahmetkesh». In total, onions were planted on 120 hectares, carrots on 70 hectares, and cabbage on 40 hectares in the etrap.

The high level of work organisation was also maintained by farmers of the Akdepe etrap, Shavat, Garashsyzlyk etraps and others. At the same time, farmers in the Garashsyzlyk etrap intend to retain their leadership in terms of the volume of vegetable crops produced in the velayat. In total, 2200 hectares of land in the velayat have been allocated for onions alone this spring. Farmers in the region intend to obtain at least 250 centners of crop yield per hectare by strictly adhering to agricultural cultivation practices. It should be noted that onions and carrots are also grown in the velayat in the fall.

Farmers in the velayat annually make a significant contribution to providing the consumer market with high-quality agricultural products. A scientifically based approach to crop cultivation, the selection of the most suitable crop areas and plant varieties for local climatic conditions, the rational use of water resources, and the availability of a powerful fleet of specialised agricultural machinery play a key role in successfully achieving the objectives set for the agricultural sector.

The year-round supply of vitamin products to the population was also facilitated by the production of two harvests of certain crops during the year and the development of a network of greenhouse farms.
