Leading Malaysian universities participated in the international exhibition «Turkmentravel – 2026», where they presented a pavilion dedicated to promoting higher education opportunities and academic programs for applicants from Turkmenistan.

The delegation included representatives from prestigious educational institutions such as Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, Taylor's University, INTI International University & Colleges, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Sunway University, and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, as well as the educational company SOPANDAI SDN. BHD. Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to learn about educational programs, scholarships, and international academic programs offered by Malaysian universities.

In addition to participating in the exhibition, the delegation visited the «Diller Dünýäsi» language centre in Ashgabat, where they met with members of the «Bahasa Club», as well as with students from schools and universities in the Turkmen capital. The visit took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere, creating an excellent platform for communication and exchange of experiences.

Students actively asked questions about study opportunities in Malaysia, student life and international programs. In turn, the guests shared their knowledge of modern trends in education and emphasised the importance of foreign language proficiency in the context of globalisation.

Speaking at the meeting, Tajul Ariffin Bin Shamsuddin, Manager of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome:

«It is a great honour for us to be in Turkmenistan and meet such motivated and talented young people. Participation in «Turkmentravel 2026» and the visit to «Diller Dünýäsi» opens up new opportunities for students and contributes to strengthening educational ties between Malaysia and Turkmenistan. We are truly inspired by the interest in learning languages and the desire for international development».

The visit highlighted the importance of international cooperation in education and demonstrated the role of initiatives such as the «Bahasa Club» in bringing together young people and expanding their academic potential.
