Aspects of the Turkmen-German cooperation on Manager Training Programme discussed in Ashgabat

The forum, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Manager Training Programme, implemented jointly by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), took part in the Yyldyz hotel in Ashgabat. Seminars and trainings were held in the framework of the event.

The forum brought together the representatives of the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and Germany, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, various international organisations, local producers among others.

Promoting the further enhancement of the Turkmen-German trade and economic relations, the Manager Training Programme allows dozens of executives from Turkmenistanfor business relations and economic cooperation taking part in the practice-oriented trainings each year, as well as enriching the practices of cooperation between German and Turkmen private eneterprises. The participants develop their management skills in interactive and practice-oriented training sessions. They gain insight to the German business culture, and improve their negotiating skills.

According to those speaking during the forum, the policy on the accelerated industrialization of the economic complex of the country pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov envisages the diversification of the national economy, creation of competitive productions and new high-technology industries that require highly-qualified, competent specialists with theoretical knowledges and practical skills. In this regard, within the 10-year period, the joint Turkmen-German project has been successfully tested by time, proving its efficiency in strengthening cooperation between the state and private structures of the two friendly countries.

In line with the forum agenda, the participants visited various enterprises that have positive practices of cooperation with German partners.
