The intellectual competition «Young engineer – 2026» was held in the Turkmen capital. The competition, which attracted approximately two hundred young engineers and programmers from across the country, was organised by the Ashgabat city committee of the Party of industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat City Education Department of the Ministry of Education, and the Ashgabat city council of the Youth organisation named after Magtymguly.

At the «Ojar Aziýa» private enterprise, students in grades 7–12 competed in team and individual competitions, demonstrating innovative projects in the field of smart manufacturing and service technologies. Practical tests attracted particular attention: in the «Robotics» category, participants had 2.5 minutes to program robots to collect and sort balls. At the same time, in the «Young coders» section, schoolchildren in grades 8 and older presented their own games and applications created in Scratch. The most spectacular stage was the «BattleBots» robot battles, in which everyone, regardless of age, could take part.

As the organisers noted, such events clearly demonstrate the success of educational reforms and open up new horizons for the development of young people.

According to the decision of the panel of judges, first place was taken by:

in the nomination «Smart production and service technologies» – Aylar Amanova and Nepes Joragulyyev (Ashgabat international school);

in the «Robotics» category – Aznavur Cholukov (Ashgabat Specialised secondary school №97 with in-depth language learning);

in the «Young coders» category – Ata Goshayev (Balkanabat branch of the educational centre «Kämil bilim»);

in the «BattleBots» category – Yusup Geldiyev (Ashgabat specialised secondary school №135 with in-depth study of the English language).

The top five participants in the «Robotics» category received the right to represent Turkmenistan at the First Global Challenge 2026 World championship. Let us remind that last year, at a similar prestigious forum in Panama, our schoolchildren already became winners in the «Skills Challenge» category.

At the end of the celebration, the winners were awarded certificates of honour and valuable gifts from the organisers. The ceremony participants expressed their sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating all the conditions for the intellectual growth and realisation of the creative potential of the younger generation.
