Turkmenistan Delegation Participates in the International Forum "Yerevan Dialogue 2026"

On May 5, 2026, the reputable international forum "Yerevan Dialogue 2026" started in Yerevan. The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Gurbanov is participating in the event. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.  

In his address, the head of the Turkmen delegation noted that Turkmenistan is actively strengthening the foundation of its energy sector through large-scale system modernization, improved energy efficiency, and a consistent reduction in emissions. Particular emphasis was placed on the gradual expansion of renewable energy sources (RES) while maintaining the country's economic stability and social well-being.

It was stated that Turkmenistan has already taken concrete steps toward creating a favorable environment for a "green" energy transition.

The delegation highlighted that the ecological transformation of the industry is directly linked to ensuring energy security, adapting the labor market, and achieving balanced regional development. Key priorities identified include guaranteeing uninterrupted energy supplies to the population, training a new generation of qualified specialists, and ensuring equal access for all communities to the benefits of attracted investments.

The importance of constructive international cooperation in realizing national plans was also underlined in the speech. It was noted that close interaction with reputable partners, such as the UN and international financial institutions, serves as a clear example of the effectiveness of external support.
