Today, the international exhibition «Agro Pack Turkmenistan - 2026» started to work in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
In the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, our fatherland under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov confidently follows the path of progress. Turkmenistan becomes the centre of large international forums and the present event clearly confirms it.
The agro-industrial complex acts as one of the key industries of national economy. The well-thought state course aimed at comprehensive support of national agriculturists, helps dynamical development of this sector.
At present, in the country the large-scale program is implemented successfully to strengthen food safety and maintenance of the population with essential commodities in full volume. The role of private business consistently increases in manufacture of fruits and vegetables and cattle-breeding production. Expansion of a network of modern hothouse economies and system of refrigerated warehouses allows supplying smoothly home market with fresh products within the entire year.
Within the programs on expansion of the export potential and development of import, replacing manufactures the new processing enterprises, which produce competitive production with the label «Made in Turkmenistan» that promotes consolidation of food abundance in the country and provides the further sustainable development of the state.
The chairwoman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads and representatives of ministries and departments, diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organisations accredited in Turkmenistan and public associations and mass media took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Performances of bagshys and musicians added a special celebratory atmosphere to the large-scale action.
Arkadagly Hero Serdar constantly holds issues of development of food industry and supply of the population with high-quality foodstuff of domestic production in the centre of attention.
Formation of new economic relations, creation of the competitive environment for agricultural structures and rational use of land and water resources act as key vectors of the large-scale transformations realised in agriculture. The special attention is given to issues of preservation of the environment, development of agrarian science, in particular, selection and seed-growing and wide introduction of innovative methods, advanced solutions and effective market mechanisms of management.
With a view of diversification of agriculture of the country, concrete steps are taken to develop actively, along with grain growing and cotton growing, such areas as animal industries, poultry farming, gardening, vegetable growing, and beekeeping.
During the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to participants and guests of the international forum was read out.
As was underlined in the message, the large-scale programs realized in Turkmenistan, which have captured nowadays all spheres, evoke a huge interest in foreign partners. In the country, a great deal of work is implemented to modernise industrial complexes, develop the economic system with an emphasis on technical solutions of latest generation, raise volumes of release of competitive goods in the world markets by means of wide introduction of innovations, to increase export-focused capacities. The given measures are adopted at the state level.
In this connection, the President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the present exhibition will play a considerable role in introduction of high technologies and innovative decisions in large investment projects, which are successfully realised with the state support, in adjustment of mutually beneficial partnership and the strengthening of positions of leading foreign companies in the Turkmen market.
The present review not only shows the country’s achievements in the agrarian sector, but also visually opens enormous potential of the business structures occupying active positions in this branch.
The special attention of foreign specialists was caught with stands of Turkmen manufacturers. Representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country visually showed the efficiency of introduction of digital solutions in agricultural manufacture that directly promotes the growth of productivity and systematic improvement of qualitative characteristics of production.
The achievements displayed in the exhibition presented the leading companies of Türkiye, China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Greece and the USA. The profile enterprises, specialized in the field of agrarian and industrial complex, packing industry and process equipment, presented innovative solutions and modern service solutions. So representative structure of participants serves as the conclusive evidence of steady growth of investment appeal of our fatherland and trust of world business circles.
At the exhibition, scientific and technical solutions evoked a great interest in guests in the field of modernisation of hothouse economy, seed growing and protection of plants. Foreign participants offered technological decisions adapted to soil-environmental conditions of our region and confirmed readiness for an active exchange of experience.
In the thematic sections of the exposition devoted to various segments of food industry, capacities of processing enterprises, and achievements of manufacturers of confectionery, meat and dairy products were widely presented. Ecological cleanliness and faultless quality of the goods of domestic production made a great impression upon guests of the exhibition.
A steady increase of the role of the private sector in economy acts as one of the priority vectors of the program of social and economic development of the country.
The strengthening of food safety and maintenance of food abundance are the major goals of national economic strategy. In the given context, our state consistently expands productive interaction with the United Nations Organization and its specialised structures, in particular, with the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO).
Private manufacturers bring a powerful contribution to transformation of agricultural branch, using innovative methods of housekeeping. At the expense of introduction of new technologies, land development, planting of these areas of additional agricultural crops, creations of hothouse economy, allowing growing vegetables all the year round, they provide increase of productivity of crops. It gives the chance to provide home markets with production, and to increase volumes of export of goods.
For today, Turkmen businessmen have adjusted release of wide assortment of baby food, fruit and vegetable juice, meat and dairy goods, confectionery, various tinned and fish production.
The goods of home producers differ with their high quality and ecological safety and enjoy a considerable demand in foreign markets. The activity of trade missions of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan abroad aimed at realisation of the export potential of the private sector, attracts advanced world experience and foreign investments, and expand borders of international business partnership.
Pavilions of foreign companies, which represent systems of drop irrigation, mineral fertilizers for protection of crops, various kinds of packing and marks of seed material and final goods, were also populous.
At the same time, stands of international structures offering services in perfection of logistics and foreign trade also did not remain without attention of visitors. Similar interaction promotes expansion of transport corridors in the region and fill economic relations by the new qualitative content.
Within the exhibition, presentations, in which the parties exchanged opinions on introduction of innovations in manufacture and attraction of capital investments, were also held.
According to the specialists and experts, the present international exhibition is an effective platform not only for demonstration of reached successes, but also for adjustment of new contacts.
As a whole, the first day of the exhibition «Agro Pack Turkmenistan - 2026» was rather productive and attested to the acknowledgement of openness of our country to study and introduce the best world practice in all branches of economy, including agriculture.
The exhibition will complete its work on May 14.
