On May 14, 2026, the 22nd International Youth Cultural Festival under the motto “Lead the Tide, Embrace the World” was solemnly opened on the Chengxin Square of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing. With assistance from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China, Turkmen students studying at this higher education institution actively participated in the forum, worthily representing national culture and traditions on this prestigious international platform. As part of the large-scale forum uniting representatives from over a hundred countries, the national pavilion of Turkmenistan was set up. The exhibition prepared by Turkmen students became a vivid embodiment of the “open doors” policy and cultural dialogue. The pavilion was visited by numerous foreign diplomats, representatives of public organizations, and the international student community.Special attention of the festival guests was focused on the creative part of the program. Turkmen students, presenting the rich cultural heritage of their people, prepared expressive performances. National dances performed by the youth became a vivid testimony to the unity and creative spirit of the younger generation. The pavilion featured a presentation of the country's achievements and national cuisine delicacies, allowing guests to become more familiar with Turkmen hospitality.
The day before, a symposium on “High-Quality Development of Higher Energy Education within the Belt and Road Initiative” was held in the conference hall of China University of Petroleum. Turkmen students also participated in this event with presentations.
Participation in these international events was another confirmation that Turkmen youth actively contribute to strengthening humanitarian ties on the international stage. The skill and enthusiasm of our students demonstrated Turkmenistan's commitment to the values of peace, mutual understanding, and intercultural exchange.
