On 11–12 May 2026, a delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, Charyyar Chetiyev, took part in the 35th Session of the Regional Conference for Europe of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, held in Dushanbe with the participation of representatives of regional states, international organizations, and relevant agencies. During the conference, special attention was given to issues of ensuring food security, sustainable agricultural development, the introduction of modern technologies, the efficient use of water and land resources, as well as the expansion of international cooperation in the agricultural sector.

Within the framework of the forum, meetings and exchanges of views were held on promising areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in the fields of agriculture, food security, and environmental protection.
