The year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses», taking place under the sign of preparations for the celebration of the glorious 35th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Fatherland, fills the hearts of compatriots with special pride and is forever inscribed in the annals of the country.
These days, large-scale celebrations to mark Constitution and National Flag Day of Turkmenistan are taking place on a grand scale in all corners of the Balkan velayat. The festive events that have taken over the cities and etraps of western region of the country are becoming a vivid embodiment of the well-being of the Fatherland, the happy life of the people, and the triumph of the creative achievements of the Revival era of the new epoch of the powerful state.
The centre of celebrations in the city of Balkanabat was the Main Flag Square. The musical and song performance, jointly organised by the Balkan velayat council of the Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, the relevant cultural department, the regional branch of the Women's Union, and other public associations, turned into a true celebration of high patriotic spirit. It was attended by students from higher and secondary vocational educational institutions, as well as activists from public organisations.
The speakers proudly noted that, thanks to the tireless efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero-Arkadag, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, authority of Turkmenistan in the international arena is steadily growing, with each day bringing new successes. Inspired by the great achievements of the era, the students expressed their sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their utmost care for the younger generation.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by performances by artists, theatre professionals, and student groups. Their numbers celebrated the achievements of a prosperous Fatherland, sacred state symbols, as well as the unshakable values of peace, friendship, and good neighbourliness. Captivating compositions by folklore, ethnographic, and dance ensembles reflected the rich history of the Turkmen people and the happy image of modern Turkmenistan. The audience greeted the artists' performances with thunderous applause.
