During the stay in Geneva, a bilateral meeting was held between the head of the Turkmenistan delegation, Azat Ovezov, and the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

On May 17, an informal round-table meeting was held at the WHO Headquarters, bringing together ministers of health and heads of delegations from Central Asian countries – Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan – with the Regional Director for the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Dr. Hans Kluge.
The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss and coordinate the final stage of institutionalizing the Roadmap for Health and Well-being in Central Asia for the period 2026–2030 (RMCA 2.0), including its official adoption and launch as a key regional format for strategic partnership.
The sides reviewed successive steps for the official launch of the Roadmap, as well as opportunities for its integration with other high-level regional processes, including events within the framework of the Year of Health in the CIS.
