President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Olivier-Marie Racine, Director General of Bouygues Batiment International and Michel Osh, Regional Director of Bouygues Turkmen at the Oguzkhan Presidential Palace Complex.
Expressing sincere gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the businessmen reaffirmed that the French company, which ranks among the leaders in the global construction market, was keenly interested in cooperation with Turkmenistan as a very promising business partner. Highly evaluating the effectiveness of business partnerships as was illustrated by a number of successful joint projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov particularly emphasized that each of facilities under construction throughout the country must meet quality standards in all respects. The Turkmen leader said that the major criteria should be a well thought-out, creative approach and active use of innovative technologies so that all buildings and facilities under construction nowadays as some kind of manmade symbols of modern Turkmenistan would meet the ultimate aim – to guarantee the new standards of living to citizens. A number of large-scale projects designed by French specialists were presented to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for consideration. These included the projects of the Business Centre of Congress and a cinema and concert complex, new buildings of Magtumguly Turkmen State University, a solar stele and buildings along Archabil Avenue.

Dwelling particularly upon the project of the Business Centre of Congress which will house a number of conference halls for conducting meetings and forums , including high-level international activities, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underscored the significant importance of these facilities given the fact that in the new historical epoch Ashgabat had become the venue for regular major business and cultural meetings of regional and international significance. In this context the Turkmen leader said that a harmonious combination of modern architectural and engineering solutions and traditions of the national art of building must become a distinguished feature of facilities under construction. The President suggested that Bouygues would accelerate the implementation of the approved projects and ensure the construction work would meet quality standards.
