Having warmly greeted each other, the leaders of two countries exchanged the congratulations on the Holy Month of Ramadan, having addressed the wishes of wealth and prosperity to Turkmen and Turkish nations.
The Head of Turkmenistan also wished success to his Turkish colleagues on the elections of the President of the Republic of Turkey on June 24.
Having stated with delight high level of traditionally friendly interstate dialog having a character of strategic partnership, the sides discussed its important aspects. Turkmenistan pays great attention to the cooperation with Turkey, which is dynamically developed both in bilateral format and under competent international organizations on the principles of mutual understanding, respect and for the interest of both nations, Turkmen leader said.
In this context, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayip Erdogan noted the presence of big potential for intensification of cooperation including in fuel and energy sphere.
Turkmenistan, rich with hydrocarbon resources, is willing to put it for the service to universal progress and sustainable development, Turkmen leader said, having highlighted that our country, having more than enough gas reserves to satisfy all undertakings by existing and future routes, supports fair distribution of energy resources based on the balance of interests of the suppliers, transporters and consumers.
Having expressed the support of gas diplomacy pursued by Turkmenistan in the world, President Recep Tayip Erdogan invited President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the opening of Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) that would be held this month.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed the gratitude for the invitation to the opening ceremony of the TANAP. This subject will be reviewed in proper order by diplomatic channels.
During the conversation, the leaders of Turkmenistan and Turkey also reviewed the cooperation in transport, which is one of the most urgent directions of the development of bilateral relations. Logistic system of international importance forming in Turkmenistan turns our country into large transport and transit Eurasian hub, especially taking into account recently opened Turkmenbashy International Seaport, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted.
The Heads of two countries also paid attention to traditional dialog in humanitarian sphere, which has great experience of fruitful cooperation, and spoke for further intensification of the contacts in education, science, culture, arts, sports and tourism.
