A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan is taking part in the 35th session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), which is being held in Vienna from 1 to 5 June 2026. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

During the session, representatives of UN Member States are discussing issues related to strengthening criminal justice systems, promoting the rule of law, and enhancing international cooperation in combating transnational organized crime.

In his statement, the head of the Turkmen delegation highlighted Turkmenistan’s positive role in promoting international and regional cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime.

It was noted that systematic efforts are being undertaken in the country to eliminate all forms of organized crime. In this regard, reference was made to the adoption of national programmes aimed at combating terrorism, trafficking in persons, corruption, and illicit drug trafficking. It was emphasized that these programmes are being implemented in full.
