A bike ride took place in Seoul on June 3 on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day, adopted by the UN General Assembly on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The sports event, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea, brought together the specialists of state structures and public organizations, diplomats and representatives of a number of countries, visiting the South Korean capital in framework of the professional development programmes, Turkmen and foreign students, getting education in Seoul, as well as numerous local citizens.

The events on occasion of the World Bicycle Day coincided with the ceremony of awarding the winners of the “Tour de Korea 2018” International bike ride that started in Korea on May 30, 2018 and run through several cities in the country.
