The academy of sciences of Turkmenistan held a ceremony to award diplomas to scientists who received doctoral and candidate of science degrees. The event was a clear demonstration of the successful implementation of the state strategy for developing the intellectual potential of the nation.
During the ceremony, speakers emphasised that, thanks to the forward-looking policies of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, high-level international scientific and practical conferences, exhibitions, and competitions are held in the country. These steps contribute to the broad integration of domestic science into the global space and strengthen the position of neutral Turkmenistan as a major research centre.
Particular emphasis was placed on the large-scale international activities of the head of state. By channeling the potential of science and education for the benefit of peace and friendship, the President of Turkmenistan is making enormous efforts to expand cooperation with major foreign scientific centers and international organisations, educational and innovative technology institutes in the countries of Europe and America, and leading institutions in the states of the Near, Middle, and Far East, as well as the Asia-Pacific region.
The main event of the ceremony, which evoked a particularly enthusiastic response from the audience, was the announcement of the decisions to award the President of Turkmenistan, doctor of political science Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, the academic title of professor in economic and political specialties, as well as his election as an academician of Academy of sciences of the country.
On behalf of scientific intelligentsia of Turkmenistan, heartfelt congratulations were extended to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar on the occasion of Science Day and the awarding of the highest academic titles to the head of state. The participants expressed their readiness to continue to use all their knowledge and experience for the benefit of the prosperity of the Fatherland.
