Tenants and farmers in the Balkan velayat have begun harvesting their potato crop. This year, farmers in the Bereket etrap of the velayat aim to harvest a record-breaking crop – a total of five thousand 320 tons of spring potatoes. In this regard, specialists of the etrap are an example for other farmers in the velayat; they successfully fulfil their planned obligations every year.

The current harvest, grown in the etrap on an area of 380 hectares using disease-resistant varieties, is distinguished by its high productivity. All seasonal work was carried out on a scientific basis, combining ancient agricultural traditions with modern best practices.

Currently, the cleaning in the etrap is in its final stages. The work properly utilises specialised agricultural machinery, which allows for the loss-free harvest of nutritious and healthy potatoes.

Experienced farmers from the S.A. Nyyazov and «Isgender» dayhan associations, as well as the «Nusgavy meydan» dayhan farm, are making a significant contribution to the successful completion of the harvesting campaign in the etrap.

The agrarians of the etrap, having completed the potato harvest, immediately began plowing the cleared lands, carrying out responsible preparations for the sowing of winter potatoes for harvest of the next season.

According to experts, effective work in preparation for the next season serves as a solid foundation for achieving new high results.
