A meeting of religious figures of the country was held at the Turkmenbashy spirituality Mosque in Gypjak, which was also attended by members of the Council of elders of the Halk Maslahaty and representatives of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, timed to coincide with Friday prayers, participants put forward and unanimously supported the initiative to name the majestic mosque being built in the new town of Arkadag «Arkadagyň Ruhy metjidi». As noted by those gathered, this decision reflects numerous requests received from the public and marks recognition of the achievements of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in the large-scale development of the new city.

The speakers emphasised that the tradition of building roads, bridges, buildings, and mosques has historically been considered a noble cause by the Turkmen people. The meeting participants noted that today, the humanistic principles of Haji Arkadag are consistently embodied in the large-scale projects and initiatives of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Following the discussion, the elders and religious leaders unanimously expressed their support for naming the spiritual centre under construction «Arkadagyň Ruhy metjidi».
