The grand opening of the festival "Nury Halmamedov's Music - the incessant melody of the epochs" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen composer was conducted at the Mukam’s Palace of the State Cultural Center.
The creative figures from all regions arrived to the capital to participate in the event, organized by the Ministry of Culture. The audience gathered music lovers of different ages, including teachers and students of the National Conservatory and music schools. The thematic exposition was developed in the foyer of the Palace, which included paintings, national musical instruments, photos and archival materials.
Perhaps, in our country there is no other creative person, whose image would so attract Turkmen artists. The fiery color, reflecting emotional intensity and compositional poetics, dominates at the picturesque images of Nury Halmamedov. The nature endowed the orphanage boy with keen look and bright talent, who left a bright footprints in the musical culture of the 20th century. Nury Halmamedova's music is known and loved not only in our country, but also far beyond its borders. With great success was a concert of works by Nury Halmamedov, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the composer in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory on May 26 this year.
Today, the compatriots of the composer, paying tribute to the memory of his talent, gathered in the Palace of Mukams. On stage is the State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rasul Klychev. The concert program was opened by the fifth part of the symphonic pictures "Turkmenia". Rasul Klychev waved his conductor's baton, and a heartfelt melodic language filled the space of the hall with the beauties of his native land. In the harmony of pure sounds, the green hills of the foothills and the stately spurs of the Kopetdag, the sky azure in the lacy patterns of the clouds, were clearly visible, the fresh coolness of the morning and the murmur of the mountain stream seemed tangible...
Atageldy Garyagdyev sang, accompanied by a symphonic orchestra, the song "Ashgabat", which became a kind of anthem of the capital. In the performance of the "golden baritone" of national vocal art, the aria from the opera "Gorogly" and the cycle of songs on verses by Kurbannazar Ezizov were met, greeted with a flurry of enthusiastic applause. One of the bright numbers of the concert program is a fragment from the film "The Match" of Bulat Mansurov. This film without exaggeration entered the gold fund of Soviet cinema thanks to the piercing music of Nury Halmamedov.
Listeners with trepidation listened to the musical masterpieces of an outstanding compatriot. All the works that compiled the program of the evening were received with all applause for a long time.
The concert finished with the First Symphony (part 3), triggering the enthusiastic emotions of listeners. Flowers and congratulations from numerous fans of Nury Halmamedov's talent were addressed to Atageldy Garyagdiyev, Rasul Klychev, all vocalists and musicians of the symphony orchestra. Spectacular scenography using a photo-order emphasized the theme message of the evening-dedication.
