OSCE Centre in Ashgabat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organized a seminar for young mass media specialists in the Yyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat. The seminar brought together journalists of national newspapers, web-based media, radio- and TV-channels.
International experts – Alexandra Shtark (Switzerland) and Eugen Globovitsky (Ukraine) delivered the seminar.
According to those speaking during the seminar, much attention in Turkmenistan is paid to the development of media. The specialized departments of journalism opened in the state higher educational institutions in Ashgabat recently train highly qualified journalists with a broad worldview, who are able to cover the events taking place in the country promptly and from all angles.
Within the framework of the seminar, the participants will get acquainted with the basics of journalism, working on texts, creating multimedia stories, the evolution of media in the modern world, as well as the trends in the media development.
The seminar will last till June 22.
